The philosophy and the thoughts behind
There are many ways to take social responsibility, and our idea is aimed specifically at companies. Large or small – traditional businesses, modern high‑tech companies – from the local shopkeeper to the international player. Our message is simple: “everyone can make a difference without it actually creating any additional cost – and without requiring a big decision.”
We offer companies the opportunity to purchase “need‑to‑have” products that they would need to buy anyway. But when they buy them from buy aid, they are guaranteed that a minimum of 10% is donated to a charitable cause. It is such a simple and straightforward idea that one is tempted to ask: “What would stop me from doing it?” We call this corporate fundraising.
Since our establishment in 1996, we have shared this message with thousands of companies over the phone, and to date we have succeeded in raising more than 140 million Danish kroner for charity. We are proud of that. We know we cannot save the whole world, but we also know that we have made a difference for many people — both locally and in the developing world. This enriches our everyday work and gives meaning to every day we show up.
Taking responsibility is a global and timeless mindset — and a mindset we believe will gain even greater importance in the coming years.

The spirit and core values of buy aid
What is most important at buy aid? The answer is simple: the employees – they are the ones who make things happen. At buy aid we are a diverse group – in age, religion, race and opinions – and fortunately so. This diversity is essential to our everyday work environment. It helps create the buy aid spirit: a sense that we stand together as a team, united by a common goal.
Many of our employees work day in and day out with the phone as their primary tool. In traditional call centres, such work is often associated with short tenure, but at buy aid we have employees who have been doing this for 6, 8, 12 – even 18 years. This is due in large part to what we call “the buy aid spirit”.
The buy aid spirit is reflected in our core values. These values are our foundation and are ultimately what connect the company across borders.
At its core, it is about wanting to show up for work and wanting to make an effort. That mindset is what brought us to where we are today – and what will carry us forward
